The RV water heater or recreational vehicle water heater efficiently provides hot water for the occupants of the vehicle during resting periods. It normally takes advantage of the commonly used LP gas cylinder that most if not all RV´s have on board as an energy source.
Electric water heating units are also commonly used in the RV´s for hot water. The electric models come in tankless varieties which are energy efficient and can supply of instantaneous on demand hot water.
The installation is easy enough to do for the average handyperson but it would be advisable to have it fitted by an experienced vehicle fitter. They come in differing storage capacities somewhere around the 6 gallon mark and each have some unique characteristics such as aluminum clad tanks.
Servicing can be accessed by a convenient outside door which simplifies the servicing of the heating unit and alleviates the need for any serviceperson to enter the vehicle.
